Have a different process in place for Authorized Agents vs DSRs direct from Data Subjects?

Now you can configure if you want to automatically reply to each type of request individually!

Same is true for executing the requests. Decide to automatically process Data Subject DSRs and not Authorized Agents without review and vise-versa!

Some businesses like to respond to Authorized Agent directly. Others like to respond direct to the Data Subject.

The power to choose is in your hands.

We’ve made it much simpler to choose if you want to confirm the processing of a DSR to the email you received the request from or send that confirmation direct to the Data Subject!

Improved Forwarded Email Parsing

Detect if an email DSRE was forwarded!

Are you getting a lot of Data Subject Requests to an email inbox other that [email protected]?

(This one’s for you Ben 😉)

We’ve added advanced email parsing for Forwarded emails. So any DSRs that weren’t originally sent to the Privacy Inbox can be parsed as if it was sent there directly. We’re extracting things like:

  • The original sender of the email

  • The time the FIRST email was sent

  • Was it an Authorized Agent or direct from a Data Subject?

No other DSR system handles messy Email DSRs as elegantly. So check it out if you need help wrangling Authorized Agents.

Reminder: Data Broker Registrations Start Dec 1!

Registering across 4 states is a requirement for Data Brokers

Registration season is upon us.

  • Oregon is the first which opens on Dec 1st and closes on Dec 31st.

  • California and Vermont accept their registrations from Jan 1st to Jan 31st.

  • And Texas requires renewal 1 year after your last registration (which was probably around March 1st if you were on time)

California also JUST passed a law to update the information that will be required to register. As soon as those questions are released, we’ll have the Superset portal available to use to complete your registrations.
